Lots of information is packed into this, so put on your work gloves and hard hat. It is crunch time!
First reminder, if you still owe part of your cast fees, we need payment ASAP.
Second reminder that we are selling ads for the program – $20 for 1/4 page (horizontal), $30 for 1/2 page, and $60 for full page (7.75″ x 4.75″). This can be for a commercial ad or a shout-out to your favorite cast member. We are also selling one-line Patron Ads to YTNBC families for $1.
Third reminder, if you aren’t currently qualified to volunteer with SHIELD training, you must register under VIRTUS. See this link to register.
We will try something a little different for the Cast Meal, it will be on Dec 2nd at 4:30 after practice. This keeps us from being out late the night before the closing performance and tear-down/strike, especially with so many younger performers in the current cast. We will see if we can get the same deal at Casa Mia’s that we had for the last production.
A reminder that no video recordings are allowed during the performances, and unfortunately we could not buy video rights, either. The licensing company has the right to come to any of our productions and they can fine us if they see anyone making a recording, no matter how short. Video postings online are monitored by the licensing company, too. See one of us if you have any questions about this.
Load-in is this Sunday the 26th, come at 9 if you can, the earlier we start the earlier we can finish. The stage needs to be built, light and sound systems assembled, backdrops installed, black curtains installed, chandeliers need to be removed, and the windows need to be blacked out. Be prepared to get dirty and sweaty. Bring gloves and your favorite tools if you can. The current forecast calls for sun and 41 so it should be perfect for moving everything outside. We need representatives from every family.
Cast mass is this Sunday the 26th at 11:30. Cast members should assemble in the church by 11:15. This is our thank-you to the congregation for supporting YTNBC and it is a great advertisement for the show, too.
The set strike will occur immediately after the final performance on the 10th. All good things must come to an end, and everything that came up, must go down. Again, be ready to get dirty and sweaty, and pray that it doesn’t rain or isn’t 20 degrees outside. Again, we need representatives from every family. A Signup Genius will come out soon for the Cast Strike Meal. The meal is potluck and the variety is worth staying around until everything is put away.
If your female cast member has costume changes, we recommend getting a flesh-colored leotard (nudie). Orphans need black flats (girls), wool coats, cotton sheet and pillowcase. We also need items similar to the picture below. Place your name on masking tape inside each item.
